In November 2012 I was extremely proud to become a Prince’s Trust Young Ambassador. For the next year I was given the opportunity to share my story with people from different circles of life to help raise awareness for the work the Prince’s Trust does and to try inspire people to get the best out of their lives. I was privileged to meet some of the most inspiring young people who have overcome incredibly hard situations to make success’s of their lives and using my life as example helped raise hundreds of thousands of pounds for the vital work the Trust does to better the lives of disadvantaged young people.
In July 2013 I was nominated for the Young Ambassador of the year award and in November 2013 I was named as the winner of the London and the South East region. From there the winners form the 12 regions where then rejudged to be shortlisted as the three finalists for the National awards. I couldn’t believe it when I got the call to say that I’d made it to the National finals and on the 12th of March 2014 I was overwhelmed and extremely honoured to be named the winner of the National Young Ambassador of the year award presented by HRH The Prince of Whales.
